It’s been said and repeated. It’s also extremely narrow-minded to think that the first episode must meet some insane gold standard that’s been set by Clarkson/Hammond/May. Please, boycott new TG so I don’t have to see a repeat of this garbage next Sunday.

I get it, early top gear (2003 version) was kind of painful as well. That said I didn’t actively dislike anyone from TGUK right off the bat and I can’t really see myself growing into liking Evans. Hopefully he takes a back seat and lets the others drive after a season or two.

I kind of view Evans like I view Ferrara in TGUSA, a weak attempt at pandering to the masses.

^That’s an annoying thing to say isn’t it? It seems like everyone is actively trying to write hate-speech about it because it is, quite literally, the ‘cool thing’ right now. Tavarish even used big fancy words for the first time to make his post seem more legitimate.

I believe that in one of my previous posts someone said they like the dynamic between Ferrara and Rutledge. I don’t really know anything he has done outside of TG.

Agree with your point about Evans though he might become a bit more likeable.

I mean I’m not writing it off, the new show has great potential and they’ve got some awesome talent and personalities on the roster. For the record I was never looking for it to be another Clarkson era TG, but I was expecting slightly more given the Schmitz and Harris involvement. Also I agree with everybody in that I hope to see a lot more of Reid.

I didn’t like it much, but I’ll still watch it. I love the rallycross track though.
